Can I give a older dog cherries? She has been having a hard time moving around and I wanted to put something in her diet that might help with that. I know I take a cherry extract for my joints would it work the same for a dog? OR What would? Thank you!

This came on suddenly he may have strained a muscle he's only 3 years old. We have to do something to make him comfortable till we can get him to a vet.

Call your vet and ask for suggestion. I would never give my dog something that a stranger on the internet suggested. I've had vets approve some meds, but it would be irresponsible for me to suggest them to you with no vet experience or knowledge of your dog/breed.

Question by Seniii: How can i tell if my dog has joint pain?
Well I have a golden retriever, and shes about 6 years old now tee-hee :]. And i love her soooo much lol ^_^. Well i just want to know signs because it takes her a long time to get up, when shes laying down...And shes slightly over weight :]...Ok ok..She IS overweight haha about 100lbs. I mean is...is there signs if she has pains?...Or should we just take her to the vet?

Take her to the vet where they can measure her range of motion in her joints. They can also take x-rays if needed to see if there is severe osteoarthritis.

If you know your doggie needs to lose weight, then the kindest thing you can do is put her on a diet. No snacks, just food at mealtimes. Make sure they are measured and everyone knows that she is on a diet and when she has been fed. It's kinder to her joints too for her to lose weight if she does have any form of pain/arthritis.
