My dog has been diagnosed with osteoarthritis, from being overweight as well as from an injury. He is on anti- inflammatory drugs from the vet, but now his joints are making a cracking noise. I was wondering if this Vetrinex Flex HJ spray for their food really will help his cartilage repair, or at least ease the symptoms?

wanted to give my old dogs joint supplements and pain meds...cant afford the 5 pills for $ 80 the vet wants to give so i was wondering if i could use low doses of my horses joint supps and some beute pain meds

Most joint supplements can be given to the dog, but not the bute--that will kill him, so please don't do that.

The joint supplement should have a dosing chart on the package or online. Springtime Feeds and Cosequin both have doggie doses on the packaging. It comes to about a pinch of those. Other brands that have more filler may need a different amount.
