You can give your dog people aspirin or Advil. Put it in a piece of cheese of a bit of food she will eat. Make sure you use buffered or coated aspirin so you won't upset her stomach.

If it is a small breed of dog, a baby aspirin can be given for pain, a large breed dog can have one adult aspirin. This is just a temporary measure though. An abscessed tooth can cause infection severe enough to endanger your dogs life. It needs antibiotics and/or extraction from a vet as soon as you can get it there.
Never give Tylenol!! or Ibuprofen........just plain aspirin
For toothache, I think the best remedy will be ice. If you don't have a regular ice pack for pain, put ice in a ziplock bag and hold it against the part of the mouth that hurts. Or use a bag of frozen peas. Like a human, the dog may dislike the ice, but will realize after a while that the pain is gets better with it, and be willing to put up with the ice.
You can give a little aspirin, but be careful about the dose. Don't use any other kind of human pain medicine unless the vet says it's okay.
Don't listen to the idiot that said you can give advil-- ibuprofen kills dogs! How do you know it's a toothache? If a dog has a swollen cheek around the gum of a tooth it could be a tooth root abscess which will need medical attention tomorrow. Is the gums are just swollen and red it might be gingivitis, which is common in a lot of dogs. I wouldn't give anything until you have a veterinarian diagnose the problem, and then they will prescribe an appropriate pain reliever if necessary.
