Painkillers For Dogs

A Better Way To Treat Your Dog’s Pain

Relieve Your Pal's Pain Today!

 Vitamins For Your Best Friend!

I know how it feels when the vet says you you have to put your best friend on painkillers for dogs.  Your kids are either gone, or you don't have any and your best friend in the world is a furry little dog and now he, or she, is in a lot of pain.  Your vets says he needs to go on painkillers.  The reason as to why this is varies.  Sometimes your dog has a joint ailment and other times a genetic defect.  The point is, we don't want to pump our best furry friends full uf drugs on a daily basis for any extended period of time.  It isn't healthy.

I went through this process.  My dog had a joint congenital defect that caused it a lot of pain.  I gave her painkillers for a while, and they helped some, but ultimately I needed an alternative that wasn't as costly and as unhealthy.  So, I began my search.  Unfortunately, many of the products were phonies, or had nothing to back them up.

My dog had a degenerative joint disease, but I was also looking for something that might help her not have any more issues and relieve the pain more naturally.  So, I had to become my own vetrinarian and research it from the beginning.

What Kind of Arthritis?  Primary Or Secondary?

Dogs are very active so it wasn't a surpise that they get hurt sometimes.  What I found out though was that arthritis often develops immediately after injury to their body occurs.  It can even develop within a couple weeks of even a minor trauma.  In humans, degenerative arthritis can take many years to develop after injury.   As a result of the rapid onset of trauma-related arthritis (aka secondary arthritis), dogs have this even more commonly than (primary arthritis) degenerative joint disorders.

Our Dogs Can't Tell Us What's Wrong

Because our dogs cannot tell us that they have pain, I wondered whether preventive measures were the way to go in the future.  Not only that, I wanted something that would slow my dog's issues while relieving her pain.  I found that it is a good idea to use supplements.  However most supplements I found didn't also relieve pain.  Check the signs below to see if you need my answer.  I knew my dog had a problem, make sure you check the warning signs below to confirm that your does as well.

Does Your Dog Have Any of These Signs?

  • Reluctance to walk
  • Reluctance to climb stairs
  • Reluctnace to play
  • Reluctance to jump
  • Lagging behind on walks
  • Difficulty rising from a resting position

If your dog shows any of these signs, I highly recommend you take a look at the solution I found.  I haven't made it a secret on this site that my solution was Pet Bounce.  Pet Bounce is an all natural pain reliever.  After giving my dog pet bounce for a week I noticed that she seemed to have reduced pain symptoms.  I liked this product so much, I decided to combine it with some glucosamine supplements and multi vitamins as well.  I trusted Pet Bounce after my experience, so I decided to use the Pet Bounce multivitamins too.  It's a good thing my girl loved them.  I don't have any recommendations for the joint supplements, because you really just need anything with Glucosamine, Chendroiten, and maybe MSM.  Honestly, you can find them almost anywhere.  Go to your local pet store and they'll have them.

For your dogs sake, take a look at these products.  She will be so thankful.  Don't forget to subscribe to my newsletters for more helpful information.

Dog Training Tips

I thought I would continue helping you with a little information about dog training.  Like everyone, I have learned through experience and in attempting different methods in training my dogs.  I thought I would share some of those today.

Trick # 1 "Go Potty"

No doubt the first trick your dog will ever learn.  Each dog is different naturally, however I have had the most luck using the following method.  First, when the dog is a puppy I have to make sure that their cage is set up so they barely have any room in there.  As a matter of fact the cage area has to be adjusted so small they can't even turn around.  Why?  Because dogs naturally hate going to the bathroom where they live.  This forces the dog to "hold it" whenever they are sleeping.  This is a good habit to get into.  Next, when the puppy is running around you need to observe her.  If she goes to the bathroom in the house, and you catch her in the act, the scold her and bring her outside.  Otherwise, bring her outside every 20 minutes or so and reward her with a treat and praise.  Make sure you use some word to signal to them that "this is what you are doing" such as "go potty" our "outside".  In one or two weeks you'll have a potty trained puppy.

Trick #2 "Shake"

This is a simple trick.  To get your dog to "shake" you just need to repeat the following until the dog will "shake" on command.  Grab the dogs paw and likely shake it while saying the word "shake", then give her a treat and praise her.  After you do this 50 times (if even) your dog will raise it's paw in the air whenever you say "shake".

Thank you so much for reading as always.  Remember to try out some of my recommendations!
